Michael Fordyce joined The Ward Group and Country Communities in 2004 and serves as the company’s Vice President of Development. In this position Michael’s responsibilities include coordinating development activities throughout the state, managing the company’s state wide properties, and assisting the Country Communities staff when needed.
Before joining The Ward Group and Country Communities Michael represented small businesses and trade organizations for four years as a Legislative Consultant. He also served from 1999 through 2001 as a Legislative Liaison for the Legislative Budget Board. Michael also has extensive knowledge of drilling operations and geology. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps, Michael worked offshore drilling oil & gas wells while attending college.
Michael is very active in youth athletics and is a volunteer coach. He also donates his time to charities such as Habitat for Humanity. Michael is a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Salt Grass Trail Ride and is a Breeders Greeters Committeeman.
